A report describes Robert Morrow's connection with Clar, Donegal, County Donegal.
V.C.'s Hero's connection with County Donegal.
It is not generally known that the late Private Robert Morrow, 1st Battalion Royal Irish Fusiliers, who won the Victoria Cross while assisting the wounded at the Battle of Messines on 12th April last, but was killed on a subsequent date at St Julien, had very close connection with County Donegal, his father being a native of Clar, near Donegal town, from which he emigrated to America many years ago. The hero's grandfather still resides in the old home of the Morrows at Clar, and there are many more relatives in the district.
