A Belfast Newsletter report describes the Court Circular, issued from Buckingham Palace in November 1916
The Late Private Morrow V.C.
Last night's 'Court Circular', issued from Buckingham Palace, states that the following had the honour of being received by the King yesterday, when His Majesty handed to them as next-of-kin the Victoria Crosses won by their relatives in the war:-
Mrs Morrow, of Sessia, Newmills, near Dungannon, mother of the late Private Robert Morrow, Royal Irish Fusiliers, who gained the distinction for most conspicuous bravery near Messines on 12th April 1915.
