Sir, Mr James Taylor is perfectly warranted in stating in his letter that this distinguished solider was not in any way connected with Newmills Presbyterian Sabbath School or Congregation. His mother joined our church after he enlisted. I was not acquainted with him, and so far as I am aware, never met him.
